Do I need a Health Check-Up Program?

These days men and woman are prone to illness. International experts recommend a health check-up every three years for individuals under age 40, every two years between 40 and 50 years old, and annually after age 50.

1. Breast Cancer : Annual breast examinations are recommended for women after the age of 40. A strong family health history of cancer warrants earlier and more regular testing.
   

2. Coronary Artery Disease : Exercise stress testing (treadmill) is useful to look at the heart under exertion. Recommended for men and women over age 40 and symptomatic people with coronary risk factors. These factor include smoking, high cholesterol, hypertension, diabetes, obesity, family history of heart attacks.
   

3. Ovarian Cancer : Ultrasound scan of the abdomen is useful for screening for ovarian cancer. Recommended for women over 40 years old.
